Katja Praznik holds an MA in Sociology of Culture and works as a theorist, writer and dramatic in the field of arts and culture. From 2007 to 2009, she was the editor-in-chief of the performing arts journal Maska. Currently, she manages various projects at Asociacija, Association of Arts and Culture NGOs and Freelancers in Ljubljana and is pursuing her PhD “Intellectual Domination: Contemporary Art Between the East and the West” at the Faculty of Arts Ljubljana. In 2010, she published the book “Cronotopographies of Dance: Two Inquiries” (Transition Series, EMANAT), together with Eda Čufer.
