Esra A. Aysun, is a cultural operator, working as consultant and producer in the contemporary arts and a lecturer on cultural management in Istanbul. She is currently one of the two initiators of CUMA – Contemporary Utopia Management Association (since 2008) and the international project consultant for the contemporary theatre DOT (since 2005). She’s been involved in numerous contemporary art and music projects in Turkey (European Cultural Association, Galerist, Pozitif Productions, Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, etc.) and in the USA (Brooklyn Academy of Music and Universal Music Group). She is an advisory board member of the IETM; a board member of the Cimetta Fund; the Arts and Culture Network Program Coordinator in Turkey of Open Society Institute and a researcher at the Strategies for Local Cultural Policies Program initiated by Istanbul Bilgi University, ECF, Anadolu Kultur and Boekmanstichting since 2008. Aysun is also the Program Coordinator and a lecturer at the Music Business and Management Department of MIAM – Center at Advanced Studies in Music at Istanbul Technical University and a part time lecturer at the MA program of Museum Management at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul, Turkey.
