Dubravka Vrgoč is artistic director and general manager of Zagreb Youth Theatre and artistic director of World Theatre Festival. Since 2009 she is vice president of European Theatre Convention. She has M.A. in Comparative Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb, and B.A. in Dramaturgy and World Literature, Academy of Theatre, Film, and TV, Zagreb and Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb, She has a large professional experience worked as a publisher in student’s paper, theatre critic in many Croatian and international theatre and culture magazines and editor in main Croatian daily newspaper Vjesnik. She won two scholarships: Fulbright scholarship – for researching American theatre and culture, New York and British Council scholarship – participation in the project Theatre for the 21st century, London. She is a member of Croatian Journalists’ Association,Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists,Croatian Association of Theatre Critics and Theatrologists,Croatian centre ITI-UNESCO and Association internationale des critiques de theatre Paris/London. She worked few years for Youth Department of Council of Europe.
