Anke Hoffmann & Yvonne Volkart

The curatorial team of Shedhalle Zurich, Anke Hoffmann and Yvonne Volkart (2009 – 2012), has realized the exhibition “Im/Possible Community”, “Lands End.” and “Cross-Fades. Reconstruction the Future” as well as events, presentations, lectures and symposia.

Anke Hoffmann, b. 1970,  cultural scientist with studies in Berlin and London, is a curator and explorer of cultural phenomena. With engagements at the transmediale festival (99 -01), as a research assistant at the Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe (01-04), curator with the Realismusstudio at the Berlin-based NGBK, (04-09) and part of the curatorial team of the Werkleitz Biennial in Halle (06).

Yvonne Volkart gained a PhD on the fluidity of the subject, assimilation and resistance in media art (06). She is lecturer on art, cultural and media theory at the universities of art and applied arts  in Basel an Zurich, and author and art critic (e.g. Springerin). She curated exhibitions  and conferences which have been shown/hold in New York, Vienna, Zurich, Oldenburg, Basel, Valencia, and Rotterdam.
